Chicory Farm Soap

Tea Tree Healing Salve

$18.00

Smells like: Herbaceous, Leathery

Suggested uses: Tea Tree is well-known for its cleaning qualities. It's anti-fungal, -bacterial, -viral, and -septic. Use this salve as an alternative to Neosporin, but be careful to keep the jar sterile by never putting your fingers into the jar. The whole jar (or a small amount of salve) can be sterilized by melting it completely down in the microwave (remove label and lid, just in case). Or use the salve as a normal, heavy-duty moisturizer on frustrated skin.

Aromatherapy:  Purifying. Tea Tree is mostly used for cleansing, but is also sometimes used to help with shock.

Sara's Thoughts: A lot of people find this scent to be unappealing. It is pretty medicinal, but that's for good reason: It's AWESOME for your skin. If you've got acne or skin conditions this is the one to try. Some people do like the smell of tea tree, including me. It reminds us of a holistic spa!

Our Healing Salve is a natural moisturizer for especially dry, itchy skin. Think of it as a "Natural Vaseline".

Ingredients: Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Castor Oil (Ricinus communis), Olive Oil (Olea Europaea), Beeswax (Cera alba), Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)

4.0 fl oz jar

Magic for Psoriasis
Posted 7th Feb 2019 by Rebecca

My partner has mild to moderate psoriasis. We recently moved to colder climate and I think the dry skin causes him to itch which lead to lots of unusual flare ups. This salve has been a god send. If he slathers it on twice a day he can reduce the worst symptoms enough to halve the need for steroids. Now that things are getting back to normal just using the salve on the remaining outbreaks keeps them manageable (moisturized and itch free) which means he can be steroid free! During the worst of it, putting it on right before bed was the only thing that kept him from restlessly trying not to scratch all night. And we tried everything (calamine, cortisone, capsacin, aloe, oatmeal and ceramide lotion etc etc). I know everyone is unique and responds to things differently but we were truly lucky because this is the one natural thing that has ever given him serious relief (not to mention the most pleasant smelling). Sara! Can you make goat milk tea tree oil lotion?!?!? I will pre-buy a case!

I love this salve. After using it for only a couple days, I notice a big difference in my skin.

This is a hand saver! On another review for the Tree Tea Bar Soap, I have been using this product with the soap for a week now and all of my scaled up/bumped up/splitting dry hands have healed. I use this product overnight on my hands and cover my sores with a fingerless glove. I wake in the morning to calm skin. I also have started to put it on my elbows, knees, and heals and have noticed a calming/soothing/relaxed sensation from this product (it is as if my skin is thanking me). (I am anxious to try other products in the future). I've been able to stop using my RX steroidal salve (which as we know goes into your system through your skin which is not good for prolonged use and only works for a short period before my problems return)... but this salve is a skin saver! OVERNIGHT and I can tell a 80% remarkable difference from the damage from washing my hands, doing dishes, etc. THANK YOU CHICORY!!!
